Why did you change the quick selection menu from text to the ridiculous icons .Screen Shot 2024-04-15 at 7.05.13 AM.png.
I live in a hurricane rich environment and having quick access to "Wind Gusts", and "Wind Accumulation" was handy.
Please restore text and smaller icons.Thank you

Better yet, how do you get rid of the ridiculous/useless icons, & just have a text list?
-
@B-Low Hi there, you can pin your favorite layers into this menu by clicking on Pin to the homepage during hovering that layer. Also, you still have texts as well next to those visuals.
-
@Suty Any way to reorder them alphabetically in the pinned list?
-
@Suty How do you unpin icons? I don't speak or read 'icons', especially the new Windy speak icons. I have to hover on them to get a 'translation'. I have to go into the Menu to find what I want (which varies), then scroll down & click "Display more layers" then continue scrolling, all because of all the new icon clutter.
-
@UlrikSeip Unfortunately this is not possible at the moment. I am sorry about that.
-
@B-Low You can manage pinned icons in the menu, pinned to homepage are usually at the top of the list in the menu.
-
@Suty I just loaded a new Windy page, & the big gibberish icon balloons with no 'translation' disappeared, replaced by smaller gibberish icon balloons with 'translations' (text)! Well, that's a little better. However just being able to make the smaller 'translated' icons appear, but not in any meaningful order, is not what I would call 'manage'. Playing around in the Menu, if I look (without pinning) at some of the pollution ones towards the bottom, like SO2, the big gibberish untranslated balloons return. Then go back to small balloons w/text when I return to something towards the top of the Menu!?! Weird

@westcoast813
Strongly agree. Before the icons were clear and self-explaining.
Now they have become mere colorsplashes making eye strain. -
I understand the desire to have the browser UI look similar to the mobile interface, but in my opinion it doesn't work. As others point out there isn't consistency in where and how the icons are arranged on the desk top. Icon identity is problematic at best. Unless I hover on the icon I don't have an idea as to what it represents. Further the icon size, use up a lot of real estate.

@B-Low We have been testing the new update, where user can completely manage their layers with drag and drop system and also the altitude slider is back on the homepage. It should be out in these days.

Tried to post yesterday, but said it was out catching wind? So, the large 'untranslated' gibberish balloons are back, argh!
I'm writing this on a Windows11 machine, which I mostly use. I have 2 W.10 machines, both of which have the small 'translated' balloons. What a mess.
