How do plugins work on mobile?
-
I use the "better sounding" plugin frequently, sometimes on android/chrome, and this is the second time I've seen windy change how it works.
First iteration: long press the point that you need the plugin on (easiest and most intuitive imo)
Second: you exit out of the weather menu and move the map around, then access the plugin in the top bar. Opening the plugin shifts the map too - annoying, but fine
Now: ?? The only way I've found to access the plugin menu is to go to windy.com/plugins and open the plugin from there, but it opens to my current location, which is 3000 miles away from where I need the forecast for, and I don't see any way of searching for the location I need. Can someone help explain what to do here? I'm sure this was a good change somehow and I'm just missing something, but it feels like a regression in usability.

@geodu Hey, I'm the developer of the "better sounding" plugin.
I'm happy to hear that you like it.
You can add favorite places in windy and select that place in the dropdown box at the bottom of the plugin. That would be an easy way to achieve what you are looking to do.
I have discussed with Ivo and he told that me that the plugin support will be improved on the mobile web site and will also come to the mobile app when more plugins are available.
I hope this helps
