Radar Information in Bahrain
-
Hi,
Could you let me know what has happened to the weather radar from Bahrain Airport?
It was great for choosing when to kite when bands of clouds and rain are coming over from Saudi. Thanks,
Richard

Hi @FluffyRich, we haven't had working source of radar data for Saudi Arabia and its surroundings for a few months. If you know of any such source, let us know and we'll gladly incorporate it

Hello. Here are some links to Bahrain and UAE Radars that cover Saudi Arabia to incorporate into Windy.
https://www.bahrainweather.gov.bh/radar
https://www.ncm.gov.ae/maps-radars/gcc-radars-network?lang=en
(I deleted it previously because I had written in Portuguese.)

Hi @Rodolfoar07, thank you for the links. I was not aware of the first one (https://www.bahrainweather.gov.bh/radar). It might be partially useful (although the time step between consecutive scans is sometimes very long).
I know the second link (to NCM of UAE) from before. Problem with their data is that they (NCM) don't allow any usage, even commercially (paid).

@Filip_K If I know of other links in the Middle East region, I will let you know.
In time, I have some links from America to add (if possible) radar coverage.
Colombia Composite. There are more radars than currently on Windy.
http://bart.ideam.gov.co/geotiff/satelite/gif/radar/composite_Basemap.gifBahamas Radar (Currently out of Windy coverage).
http://tropicalatlantic.com/radars/live/bahamas/not_mirrored/Sao Paulo Radar. Add current coverage (Updates every 15 minutes in dry weather and 5 minutes when it's raining). Sometimes it is necessary to press F5 to open the page, and to access the radar, click on the blue icon and then on the radar (as in the image).

Great, that would definitely be helpful!

Bahamas Radar (Currently out of Windy coverage).
http://tropicalatlantic.com/radars/live/bahamas/not_mirrored/Known and very useful source, already on our roadmap
Sao Paulo Radar ... https://ssd.baciaspcj.org.br/Mapa
Also known and planned to be added (although this one will be a bit more difficult)
I want to incorporate few new sources when I have some other things off my hands, so these sources should be added in few weeks, hopefully

@Filip_K If you can't add the link (https://ssd.baciaspcj.org.br/Mapa)
You can expand coverage of this (http://www.simepar.br/prognozweb/simepar/radar_msc), which is currently excluding the city of São Paulo. On this website (which is a mosaic of radars), there is this radar in the upper right corner next to São Paulo.
This other link (https://www.saisp.br/cgesp/radarIntens.jpg) is from the same São Paulo radar, but only covers the city of São Paulo (Update 5 mins)
The drawing of the city on the map, in the windy:

Is there any news if you managed to add any of the Sao Paulo weather radar links?
Thanks!

Hi @Rodolfoar07, not yet. It is still on my TODO list
