Hi, this is an old issue, I just want to bring it up again because there doesn't seem to be any progress in fixing it. It is not a critical bug but still rather annoying. Some devices are set to switch to dark mode automatically at night and then windy is inconvenient to use. One would think that all it takes is to hard-code the text colors if you don't want to bother with having two different themes :-)

@hookxs Hi there, we are aware of this issue on some devices, however, there is no solution until now, because it is difficult to implement all color gradients of our data to the dark mode. For these cases, we can only recommend turning off the dark mode for Windy.

@Suty The fact Windy hasn't implemented its own dark theme for these UI elements is why I still hesitate to subscribe to premium. Reading the forecast panel with its bright white background on web or in the mobile app hurts my eyes, and applying any third-party color filter extensions (e.g., Dark Reader) makes layered elements look awful like the above.

The only solution is not to rely on the operating system or an extension, but to design a native dark theme for all of your own UI elements as a companion to your default theme, then let the user choose inside your app. I will go premium when you do that. Until then I must keep looking for something that is not a step backward.
