Tropical cyclone track map produced by RSMC La Réunion ?
-
Hello,
I've been worrking at the RSMC (Regional Specialized Meteorological Centre) on Reunion Island.
When monitoring tropical and subtropical low-pressure systems, our team produces specific bulletins and, above all, a track map showing the different stages expected over the next 5 days.
At present, you can view the trajectories produced by various centers. I'd like you to include trajectory maps from our operational center. Would this be of interest to you? Would this be feasible by the next hurricane season for the South-West Indian Ocean basin? What data would you need and in what formats?
Thank you for considering this request, and please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.
Best regards,
Ludovic

Hello @Wilsony974, yes, we would be very interested in including tropical cyclone forecast from your RSMC. Is the data already publicly available so we can examine it? Perhaps some archived examples?
Regarding formats: whatever is reasonably machine-readable is fine for us. We're using multiple sources with multiple formats. One of the well documented with good examples is data feed from NOAA NHC: https://www.nhc.noaa.gov/rss_examples/gis-at.xml
We're using
Advisory Forecast Track [kmz]
item. If the data were in json format, it would be even better. -
@Filip_K Okay, I'll check it out and get back to you.

@Filip_K Could you give me your professional e-mail address so that I can send you the information?
