Percent Chance of Precipitation

This is a very common method to forecast precipitation in other weather apps. At least it is in the USA. I'm not sure how it's calculated, like from an ensemble model, or it it's calculated within a single model itself. I often look at both the % precip and the rainfall intensity when deciding my outdoor activities.
