@Gkikas-LGPZ in addition which model is the best for calculating wind speed gusts avarage wind speed and precipitation amounts used in our site what are your model explanations
-
-
What do you mean by "mostly sunny"?
You are not covered by partly cloudy symbol? -
@alip thank you:) ı mean "mostly sunny" icon
-
@Gkikas-LGPZ 1 hello:) will wrf model will be add to the site in the near future
2)in the meteorology there is also mostly sunny icon in addition to other meteorological icons but there is no mostly sunny icon in "windy" site do you plan to add this icon
3)what is the percentage of clouds in mostly cloudy icon and also what is the amount of interval of precipitation in light rain and heavy rain
4)do you plan to add new features to meteograms for example the percantage of clouds because ı can not see percentage of clouds in meteograms -
@alip
Firstly, I must let you know that I'm not Windy's personnel.
So, I can't answer all of your questions.
I don't know Windy's plans for the future.About sky condition, NOAA uses the following definitions :
https://www.weather.gov/media/pah/ServiceGuide/A-forecast.pdfTurkish State Meteo. Service uses the following symbols:
(cloud coverage in octas as I interpret them)
My question to you:
What is the usefulness if Windy adds a "mostly sunny" icon?
"Partly cloudy" is not enough?
Do you think that the average reader
can see any difference between the following icons? -
@Gkikas-LGPZ yes thank you for your suggrstiond :) it can be seen
-
Is there a way to show 2 layers at the same time by a ctrl-click on the selected layers? Was interested in showing NO2 and CO2, or radar and satellite, etc. I'm sure that I just made a developer's brain pop :)
Love this app, long time user.
Thanks,

@Gkikas-LGPZ in the windy site could not find the showery and rainy symbols in the icons for example in turkish state meteorological office there are different symbols can you help me to find showery icon the windy
-
@alip As I see, Turkish meteo.(TSTM) is not using any symbol for "rain".
It calls all rainy situations as "light showers" or "showers".
Windy uses the same symbol for thunderstorms and rain showers.
As a thunderstorm is a "subcategory" of a rain shower (but is stronger)
you can distinguish it by the amount of rain. -
@Gkikas-LGPZ Wonder why don't they put a little "Degrees' circle like is normal for a number in degrees?
-
.... or scroll on top of this page
-
@ivo Thank you.
Old topic or not,I learned the dust particles and other air masses from it.
exellent list! -
I seem to have lost the lightening strike function, am I missing a setting or something?
-
@EricRaisch Hello, lightnings strikes work. Does the issue still persist?

@korina Good morning, I have a question in relation to the weather icons. I have highlighted the hours from 4pm to 6pm, why do we see the icons "Cloudy with rain or thunder" and in parallel we have 0 mm of precipitation?
Thanks a lot!
-
@baldo1191
This is because the level of rain expected is below the minimum threshold.
In general, below 0.3mm you can hardly notice that it is raining
