@ivo Thanks for clarifying. I'm very sorry to hear that people steal what you've worked so hard to bring together.

@ivo
The search works now. On the last try I didn't get the choice of locations under the search type-in (e.g., Schlangenbad, Rhein-Taunus). This time I did. The display centered on the location. Problem resolved. :) -
Found an area where the 'click here for spot weather' feature does not function. It seems to cover a sector just east and just west of the islands of New Zealand. Further east, it does function.

MacBook 2014-ish w/ OSX-Safari betas::
Nice first impression . . . . After a bit the controls become non-responsive.
Unclear as to the situation(s) where this happens.
The display does NOT freeze but continues to display and the cursor responds/moves but mode will not change. Reload page seems to fix.
Details very vague/hazy at this point.( MacBookPro 11,1 / OSX 10.12.3 beta / Safari 10.0.3 )

How can I rotate the screen to turn the Globe to the other side of world.
-
I really like it! A couple of points
- "Reply" didnt work in Safari only in Firefox
- When playing the forecast the Pause/Play toggle didnt always work. I cant always reproduce it though. Sorry about that.

I liked the old menu on the right side better. You could click on the top of the wind to get kts, mpg, etc. This looks more PC than Mac. Not as intuitive as before.
Moving wind arrows missing today on both versions.
Viewing on Chrome, Mac 10.12.2

This beta version works on android perfect.. There is no problems at this moment.
-
Note a Spelling Error on the "About: Wind Gusts, the word "Than" is spelt "Tahn"
-
@StormCapture
Also a way to disable the "Distance and Measure Planner" as once enabled, I could not disable it to return to click for weather conditions for a specific area. -
When you choose for Dutch, there is two words in english. Visibility. Dutch is zichtbaarheid. Cape in dutch is onweer.
The option surface and airplane doesn't works.
-
@andrzej.kopytko Thx know the bug
-
@StormCapture will fix it
-
@ivo
Grats! Very fast and intuitive. Right now I´m missing the "Airgramm" function. Merry Christmas & a happy new year! -
@oldbilbo Around time line everything is weird

Thx for your excellent work re WindyTV. I'm getting used to the new layout and so far so good. One limiting factor I find annoying (or I haven't discovered in the Beta version) is when using WindyTV professionally, aside from sliding the time toggle left/right, is being able to loop through the model info at particular time steps. Could you include (like on many other app/web based weather displays) forward/backwards time step buttons that will enable display time changes at 3/6/12/24 hourly steps forward and backwards? Otherwise, everything else looks great.

I like the crisp frontal boundary as the winds solidify. Speed of the animation in default is good. These may not be new to this beta however my impressions.......very nice thank you

Hey Ivo, first of all - great service.
I think i've found a bug on the beta (obviously).Press play on the timeline now click on X location and show forecast for that location. Timeline continues to play but no visible controls and the time slider is stuck on the same timestamp.
Also why is lets say temperature/wind/whatever you choose not directly visible anymore on the map..its much better UX if its visible right away and you don't have to click for every location or to guess the value when looking at the map legend/key.

Not exactly related to the new features, but I think your model doesn't consider orographic interference aggressively enough. I live in Hawaii, and none of the models seem to get windward compression zones or lee-side bubbles quite as much as they actually exist. Two sites that do it a little better arehttp://mksoaring.com/MK_Soaring_weather_Island_chain/MK_weather_Island_chain.htm and http://weather.mhpcc.edu/wrf/maui2/
