I like the crisp frontal boundary as the winds solidify. Speed of the animation in default is good. These may not be new to this beta however my impressions.......very nice thank you

Hey Ivo, first of all - great service.
I think i've found a bug on the beta (obviously).

Press play on the timeline now click on X location and show forecast for that location. Timeline continues to play but no visible controls and the time slider is stuck on the same timestamp.

Also why is lets say temperature/wind/whatever you choose not directly visible anymore on the map..its much better UX if its visible right away and you don't have to click for every location or to guess the value when looking at the map legend/key.

Not exactly related to the new features, but I think your model doesn't consider orographic interference aggressively enough. I live in Hawaii, and none of the models seem to get windward compression zones or lee-side bubbles quite as much as they actually exist. Two sites that do it a little better arehttp://mksoaring.com/MK_Soaring_weather_Island_chain/MK_weather_Island_chain.htm and http://weather.mhpcc.edu/wrf/maui2/

As an airline pilot I´m using windyty on flight planning and it is definitely the best tool. This version is even better. Thanks a lot!

Hi, the measuring dialogue box seems to be missing the "close X" if you then go back to the start menu and click on that it then continues with a series of points all labeled "2" but dosnt get rid of the opened dialogue box.
..... As a full time sailor Windy is fantastic.

                cheers.

I like the new layout, however, as someone else already pointed out, to have the possibility to change the speed of the animation would be very nice. It would provide the possibility for a quick overview. If it would be computanionally too expensive to show all charts, one could always skip some of them.

For me as well, the measuring dialogue box is now missing a "close" button, however it was there yesterday, maybe it was blown away by the new layout? ;)

The 3D mode does not work right now, if I click it, nothing happens. Maybe it is not "turned on" right now?

I use Chrome in Windows 10.
And even as only part-time sailor, windity/windytv is great!

                  Cheers :)

                            @ivo 0_1483090331357_no-temperature-readouts.png ^ (beta) no temperature readout/values
vs. 0_1483090358229_temperature-readout.png ^ "old" with temperature values visible from the start
So with the beta you have to click for every location you are interested in to see the temperature value instead of just taking a glance.

Hi! When I set a check mark in "settings" -> "Show lat, lon grid" i've got a grid and flat map (not sphere in large scale), but when I unset a check mark the map remains flat.

The system has now become much more better and faster.

                                  hi
There are some old forecasts between new ones.
It be nice to have the date&time of the forcast run.

The temperature color contrasts need to be more extreme in order to be useful. You can not see any temp changes as you look across large areas of terrain. Keep up the great work.

Wave height colors are not correlated anywhere on the page. Bottom of page contains no information pertaining to wave heights.
                                        Excellent, Capt. Mike
