Crappy experience - Red bar snackbar view closes automatically after 4 seconds

I'm noticing that on the android app that when selecting the chevron option to expand the bottom red bar view i.e. Forecast Model "Fcst Model" snachbar will auto close after 4 seconds. The automatic closing behavior reduces the user experience by minimizning the toast window while I'm thinking and is very frustraging. I would like the app to not automatically do actions for me and I would liek to explicitly do actions myself.
