I'm on an iPhone 14 Pro Max, latest version of Windy.

When I'm at home, the widget shows my location as being somewhere a couple miles away. I am using GPS for my startup location, so I don't know how it could be so horribly inaccurate. My subdivision has been around for about 20 years, so it should definitely be on the map.

When I "Find My Location" it is perfectly accurate, however the widget wants to put me somewhere else. There must be a way to set it so that after I find my location, I can set this as a default or something. I know I can set favorites, but how do I get the widget to display the correct home location?

Thanks in advance.

The widget now gets the correct location, again. Here's what I did: I removed the widget and added it again, which didn't work. Nor did long-pressing the widget to get to Edit Widget and Use Custom Location (wanted GPS, but could only provide a location). I ended up Removing App, restarting iPhone, and Getting it from the App Store. When starting Windy, I got past some startup screens and logged in as myself, and when I added the widget I was asked if I would allow my location (which I allowed). If I had access to the code, I would look to see if the widget and the app have different iOS permissions to store and access GPS location information. The GUI for the widget Use Custom Location and the app's Start-up layer and location differ (e.g., the app allows for Use GPS) -- asking me for a widget-specific permission to allow location from when the app already had it seems like A Clue. It might also be worth the effort to look in the About (?) section of the app for the Error console (near the bottom) to see if there are location errors.

Hope that helps.

But however the app is working behind the scenes, when I am at home, it wants to place me in an area that is 4+ miles away from my actual location, It is pinning the location indicator (the little blue flashing dot), in Cliffwood, which is 4+ miles from my home. I don't understand how the bug can be so egregious. After all the positive reviews of this app that I read that got me to purchase it, I sincerely hope that you are able to get it to work properly.
