Flyable spots not highlighted red on desktop
-
@Suty Noted, many thanks!
-
Now the problem has also been transferred to the Android application. The web and Android app do not show the red lines of alerts
:( -
@halig For me it is still OK, no update even available in GooglePlay so far. For those using this feature it might make sense to disable temporarily automatic app updates from GooglePlay in order to keep the older version until this issue is resolved.
-
@spino1973 It's strange because the app not was updated these days.
I have 42.2.3, the latest from Google Play, updated on 19 June, but the problem in the case of the app was 2 days ago, suddenly. That's why I don't know if what you say will work, I don't know, maybe it will (for other people who haven't updated yet).
It's a problem to have to look at the favourable weather alerts one by one. Before it was very easy.
What version of the app do you have?
-
@halig Still 42.1.6, last update also on 19/6/2024. When I open it in GooglePlay there is an option to manually update it via Update button (I cant see to which version). But on the other hand the app dow not appear in the list of apps waiting for update. Looks like only manually launched update via button in the app site in GooglePlay is possible for this version even if one has automatic updates turned on (at least on my device).
-
@spino1973 No, I take it back, today the app appeared in he list of apps waiting for update which I cancelled.
-
since new app version 42.2.3 the red bar alert for my favorit flying spots is not working anymore
latest ios installed 17.5.1 on iphone 15 pro max, same issue on ipad
please get this fixed anytime soon.best regards

I tried to downgrade the app to previous version on another Android phone following this https://www.androidpolice.com/roll-back-android-app-older-version/ and it worked well. The file with previous correct Windy version was downloaded from here https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/windyty-se/windy-wind-waves-and-hurricanes-forecast/windy-wind-waves-and-hurricanes-forecast-42-1-6-release/
-
@willrice me as well on iPhone
-
Seems Windy shows the red alerts in desktop version again from today. Android app still without alerts but presumably this will be fixed soon after update check by Google. Many thanks to Windy team for getting this function back!
-
Now fixed here on iOS. Thanks Windy team and developers 👍✨
-
Now broken again :/
(iOS 17.5.1; windy app 42.2.3 built 2024-06-19, 07:33)
-
Still broken here on iOS.
Would a Windy team member be willing to share an update / acknowledgment / roadmap for getting this bug permanently squashed across all platforms? 🐛
This feature is the #1 reason I have a premium subscription and it has been broken now for getting on for 3 weeks…
-
also still not working here, at least not the way it did before the 'sailors ship' update.
u r able to set alerts and you will get the alerts via message, but the red alert function as shown is still not working.
so u cant see which spots are flyable in the next days.
please get this fixed soon
:-( -
@Mista-Fly The app is apparently not updated yet but you can run windy in mobile browser where it works fine now (Android).
-
Still broken here in the iOS app i.e. no red ribbons. (iOS 17.5.1; windy app 42.2.3 built 2024-06-19, 07:33)
Thanks for the ‘use your web browser’ workaround @spino1973 👍
-
hello, thanx for the advice to run app in mobile browser.
dumb question, how do i do that? -
got it.... just open safari browser go to windy.com, log in, and the red ,stripes' r back
