      Last few days it frequently only extends to 2 days.. Then it goes back to the normal 5 days.. Sometimes only briefly - then goes back to 2 days..

      Annoying.

      Any word on the cause of this?

            As for a more detailed descrpition - I think I have made it clear enough. This is supposed to be a 5-day forecast.. I think you can clearly see it is only 2 days..

            After 3+ days a word on a cause and fix would be appreciated.
