What happened to the + and - buttons?

The + and - buttons used for zooming in and out are not on the map anymore. Will they be coming back any time soon? I know I can zoom other ways but sometimes the + and - buttons are easier to use.

I FOUND THEM AGAIN!
They are back now in the upper right corner of the screen although they are not there all the time. I haven't figured that one out yet but thanks for putting them in the upper right corner again.
