Hello, I am a private pilot who is active in UK and Europe. I have a premium account with Windy and want to know the accuracy of the data I am being presented. For instance, is the Weather Radar real time, if not how far out of date is it and how often is the weather radar updated? Thanks, Allan.

Windy's weather radar data is very accurate, as it updates frequently, typically every 5 to 15 minutes depending on the type of radar.

How do I extend the radar projections beyond 1 hr? It seems every other weather app can do this except Windy.

I don’t think it would be a good idea.
The "radar forecast" is an extrapolation of the last picture of the radar loop.
Are you really thinking that extending this extrapolation would be reliable ? You would be very disappointed in stormy and convective weather.
