Weather Radar data from Filyro, Greece

Map shows no data since 2024-03-17 in the area around Windy: Weather radar .

Accuweather has current data, as can be seen on Filyro, Central Macedonia, Greece Weather Radar | AccuWeather .

The company operating the radar is 3D S.A. in Thessaloniki.

Can you take a look at this please?

Είστε σίγουρος ότι η AccuWeather λαμβάνει data από το ραντάρ της 3Δ στο Φιλυρο?
Μήπως το link που μας στείλατε παρουσιάζει απλά τα προγνωστικά δεδομένα από μοντέλο (υετός), σε μορφή dBz?
Το λέω διότι παρατηρώ ότι για οποιαδήποτε πόλη, δείχνει "τοπικό ρανταρ". π.χ. δείχνει ραντάρ στα Γιάννενα ενώ ξέρουμε ότι δεν υπάρχει ραντάρ εκεί.

Υ.Γ. μακάρι τα πραγματικά δεδομένα από τα ραντάρ της 3Δ να παρέχονται ελεύθερα σε μετεωρολογικά sites.

@Gkikas-LGPZ Thank you for your remarks, but let's keep the conversation in English please.

I only had a cursory look at the Accuweather page last night and may have been fooled by it. I will check if its data has any relation to reality at the next rain event.

Completely off-topic but I'll respond since you mentioned it; regarding the availability of (weather or any) data, if it's funded by the public, it should be available to the public as well. More advanced countries do exactly that.

Meanwhile I would appreciate an official answer by a Windy employee on the matter.

Apparently Windy lost data from all greek weather radars on 2024-04-01, after 3 weeks of intermittent data supply.

As the coverage is often useful to me, both in private and in my work, I would like to know if it will be reinstated at some point.

Hi @akanouras,
as of now we're only using data from EMY (currently unavailable, as @Gkikas-LGPZ pointed out). We are also in contact with the company You mentioned (3D S.A.) but we haven't got any set date on when the contract will be finalized (if it will get even finalized), since they don't respond to our e-mails much.

Today it seems like the entirety of Greece got coverage! Well, it still shows “no data” on the map, but at least it’s not gray like before.

Any way of viewing the location of each new radar on the map? Like a “single radar mode”?
