@becaris I would pay as well for this feature as i use it a lot in planning our sailing trips. Having actual historical weather is an outstanding feature that I love to use. Again, lots of people would pay a fee for this level of access!

I, and I'm sure others, would be happy to pay a monthly subscription if it gave access to historic data.

I would also be willing to pay for a subscription in order to have access to historical data. We plan lots of sailing trips along the west US coastline and it would be super useful!

BTW, climate.gov keeps historical data all the way back to the 1950s. Could you just pull from their api instead of storing it yourself? even if it was a daily average snapped once a week, that would be useful :)

@ivo I'd be willing to pay for a 'premium' membership which included the historical data. When it was available I found it very valuable. I'm a sailor living aboard full time and loved using the historical data to plan out months ahead for general, most likely conditions.... Thanks for all you do, love the service.

Any progress on Historical weather?
Here are my wishes.
Simple - 6-10 months of surface wind directions to find historical directions for sailing. Today I need Spring wind direction data to retrace a sailing path.
More complex: 5 years of surface wind directions to plan sailing tacks to reach upwind areas with minimum time and energy. -

First of all, thanks to your team for this super app.
I just wanted to mention that it would be great to maybe just have access to historical data of the past day or so.
I am often trying to evaluate which models perform best on my local spots with various wind conditions. Just being able to compare the observations with the forecast from the past 24h or so would be great. -
@Ludwighaffen Hello, you can already do that. Each weather station shows measured values for the past several days and you can compare them with the current forecast. You can even choose a forecast model.
