I love Windy for the ample weather information it provides.

But one thing that is missing in Windy is providing info about different wind names of winds that are present at any given moment in particular areas.

I’m surprised this was not included in the first place, given the name of the app, which seems to be focused on wind first and then the rest of the weather aspects.

In short, I’d appreciate, esp. when at seaside, to be informed by Windy what kind of wind is blowing at any given time (e.g. bora, maestro, etc.) when you check for wind in the app.

Any chance you could implement that?

Hi,
It would be a huge job to name all the winds around the world and locate them precisely. As an example, here is how MeteoSwizz lists all the winds around Lake Geneva.

Imagine doing the same in all countries !
Where to find comprehensive sources of wind names ?
In addition, Windy would get surely many protest posts because no one use the same names for wind.
