Discrepancy between embed link map and point forecast data
-
@AbhishekMG Yes, it provides same data as it is in Windy.com app, but in a different format. If you want to use the Map from our app, I would recommend the Map API.

@Suty Hi
I am using the embed with medium cloud layer and trying to get the same data from point forecast but I am still getting 50 % deviation in value from point forecast at random point otherwise there is difference around 4 - 10 percent . so my question will there be any improvement if I switch to map api with license. -
@Suty What is the process for cancellation of my subscription ?

@AbhishekMG Hello, you can cancel your subscription in Fastspring subscription management.

@AbhishekMG You should get the same accuracy with both versions of API, however, Map API offers maps visualizations as they are in our app.
If you see big differences, can you share the sample for certain location from Point forecast API and our app?

check this on 9th 8:30am mid cloud data in point forecast and map from windy app with same parameter shows difference in value

@AbhishekMG Hi, I discussed this discrepancy with colleagues and I can assure you that data from Point forecast API are accurate. Certain inaccuracy comes with our visualization, where values are affected by interpolation of images.
-
@Suty I Tried with map api license key and still i am seeing these in difference on map .Could u please help he understand what could be the problem.

@AbhishekMG Hi, as I said, if you want to get the most accurate data, it is highly recommended using Point forecast API, since this data are not anyhow interpolated.
