Map direction arrow about 90 degrees off

When I view the radar (may be the same on other maps but I typically only use the radar map), the directional arrow from the location blue dot is off by -90 degrees. In other words, it shows me pointed east, but in actuality I am pointing south. I am using a Google pixel 8a. Thanks!
