For the offshore islands of Santa Barbara and San Clemente which model is best to use for swell and wind? I have been using GFS and need confirmation that this is correct or if I should be using a different model.

If you don’t get relevant replies from users, you could try to compare the forecasts of ECMWF, GFS and ICON with the observed significant height and period of waves reported by weather buoys in your area
        See https://www.ndbc.noaa.gov/
Note some of these weather buoys only report temperature and wind.
