I just tried Radar+. In 6 hour mode, the cells seemed to be moving in the opposite direction of the regular radar loop. Fix it!

Windy stopped working on my ipad ios 17.5
No weather info overlay on map and message saying wind info not available for my area, San Francisco Bay Area? No forecasting present in the lower timeline.

Fantastic. I love this. You can go from different satellite renderings with the radar. It's providing such rich information!

And you still get to hear the lightning. Yay!

Keep up the great work xxx

Radar+ is a feature I’ve been wanting from weather apps for a long time. Thanks for implementing it with some customizability! The “Visible” view in particular is pretty neat. Are there plans to allow changing what specific radar view is used, as well? One feature that seems to still need work is the future-modelling animation. But overall, awesome new feature!

This is exactly what I’ve been looking for. As a person that travels for work this tool is priceless to me. And as a person that lives in Florida and is affected by hurricanes, the features of radar+ plus are awesome. And as a person that works for a company that goes into storm ravaged areas in the southeast to bring in supplies and water, Windy as a whole is the way. Radar+ is like a huge bonus now.

Really like using Windy for my outdoor activities as its been invaluable, from Drone use, Fishing, mountaineering, camping and Kayaking.
The new layered function is a game changer in predicting weather and allowing me time to alter routes, times etc to allow for a safer experience outdoors.
                  Keep up the tremendous work.
                  Awesome app.

Another superb development from the Windy team. The Radar+ layer provides yet another excellent resource for day to day use, be that walking from your house to the shops or taking to the water, hills or skies. The combination of Radar + and the archive functionality results in a powerful educational tool for users to increase their understanding of the weather by revisiting known events.

Thank you Windy, it is great to see an app I use on a daily basis improving all the time!

                    A few questions...

                    1. When using the archive, it would be useful to understand the basis of the 24hr time period? Is the start 0001 hrs UTC? This would be helpful to confirm the time of events in specific locations.

                    2. In the future, will the archive include pressure isolines? I think this would be very beneficial from an educational perspective.

                    Thanks!

I've been using Windy for a long time and I recommend it!! I'm a mountaineering and climbing instructor and the new Radar + tool is everything I expected. It will help me a lot. @capim_amarelo_montanhismo, here in southeast Brazil.

I am an Aviation Weather Forecaster and this product really helps to assess better routes and take off/landing conditions. Windy is contribuiting with Safety in Aviation. It’s a kind of “Waze” for pilots. I love this amazing App. ♥️

This is a great addition. I live on Lake Superior and experience frequent lake effect snow events in the winter (and lake effect rain in the fall). Due to distance from the radar and topographical features, lake effect clouds are usually too low to be seen on the radar over the peninsula where I live. Having the satellite image together with the radar should help me see what is coming.

Great, finally I don't have to switch these two maps. It gives a general overview of cloud cover.
Please will it also be as a widget?

Great addition to an already fantastic weather app. You guys keep adding more features all the time, I love it!
Now I can watch a storm's intensity grow besides just precipitation because the clouds grow as the storm increases.

Not sure if I prefer the radar+ blue or visible, it just depends on my mood - ha! What I know for sure is that as Windy has improved over the years, I finally caved and subscribed. Now I use it all the more since I have access to reliable and affordable weather routing.

Yeah, it works well, but I'm glad you've left the old radar layer and satellite layer in there too, I use those the most.

Radar+ is a great addition to windy. As an Instructor teaching both sailing and powerboating, this new view is great for showing the relationship between the clouds that you are seeing and what rain/hail/winds is imbedded in them. Going to Premium was one of my better moves this year. The difference to free is massive and allows me to plan reasonably upto at least a week in advance for on water activities.

The new layer is very interesting, especially for short time forecasts of up to 30 minutes. I usually alternate layers to make the decision to get the children from school on foot or by car, depending on the approaching rain. In tropical areas, clouds are not synonymous with rain and sometimes the overcast sky limits us to going without cars to pick up the children or go to supermarkets, even with the radar showing low reflection. the double layer is practically a definitive solution for everyday life in tropical areas.

It is great, thank you. However I have a question - I need to set my default layer (radar) quite often again, after some while it is always back to Wind. Can you make my settings permanent?
