Because it was very recently implemented in the website.
So for the mobile app you need at least to wait for the next update of the app. -
@idefix37 any guess when will it be updated or implemented in the app?
-
@teodbk
Only an administrator can reply about the future release. -
We are currently rolling out v43 (Aladin is part of that version) on both iOS and Android platforms. Both will be ready in a matter of days. Mobile versions are always a bit behind the web version.

@David-Polášek Super, ALADIN is very useful.

If you have an iOS device, you can download the update now.
If you have an Android device, the update will be available in the upcoming days. End of the week at the latest. -
@David-Polášek
And why Aladin is missing from the widget? Together with (again) Meteoblue?
It’s again impossible to start the app to the preferred provider (Aladdin or MBlue)!
If you start from the icon - it defaults to your precious ECMWF. If I use the widget (which I very much like to do, as it gives the forecast on the main screen) - for some reason only ECMWF, GFS and ICON are available? -
@enterfornone Hi, I guess you use iOS device, am I right?
-
@Suty yes.
And none of the accurate models for my area is available when I open the app.
Is it because Meteoblue and Aladdin do not cover all 5 days, you’re setting the widget to?
Then just show less.
I very much prefer three days of accurate forecast, than 5 of the only mildly accurate ICON on my widget
Your favourite ECMWF is laughably inaccurate as soon as you put a mountain nearby, so I never, ever use it. -
weird its fine for me at-least last check on the windy mobile app.

I know. But I DO use the widget. It’s supposed to give you reliable information without opening the app - right on the homescreen. Widgets are incredibly useful - if the forecast is correct that is.
I speculate that because the more accurate Aladin and MBlue models don’t have the 5 days forecast usually visible in the widget, they are missing and only longer models are given as options. Yet why and who would make that choice I cannot understand.
