Solved AROME 1.3 km will be back
-
Also requesting 1.3 back. If the reduction in functionality stays I’ll be moving to another app (along with most of the kitesurfing community in Ireland). Arome is by far the most consistently accurate model.

I'm a premium user and I have (like more Italian users) a need to recover model Arome 1.3Km for forecast north of the Adriatic Sea.
On the iPhone App no longer possible to see model Arome 1.3Km, URGENT RECOVER THIS MODEL.
If you decide not to recover this model, a Premium subscription for me is unnecessary.
Thanks.

Interestingly two other topics in which people ask for AROME 1.3 appear to have been deleted.
I am not renewing my prescription at this stage...
-
@lecter they were merged here https://community.windy.com/topic/19198/where-is-arome-model/87
It makes no sense to have several topics with same story -
@Suty I live in Ireland so no longer have arome, I have cancelled my subscription, I will join again another time if it is restored

Modele Arome de météo france. Why not present AROME in a 1.5 km grid?
-
@acatjack
The 1.3km version of AROME has been replaced by the 2.5km version, because of the strong demand of aviation people. The 2.5km version provides forecasts at different flight levels, but it has a more restricted domain than the 1.3 km version. -
@Tomber42 I would have a reply from Windy. Otherwise I need to found other application with Arome 1.3Km model.
Someone has contact with Developer Team? I think that is simple readd an older feature.
-
@Tomber42 I have request to refound annual subscription if the model Arome 1.3Km don't readded in App.
-
@idefix37 not have sense... for Aereo is more accurate Arome 2.5Km, but for windsurfer, Kite and so on is more accurate Arome 1.3Km.
The solution would be have all two model. An Aereo read Arome 2.5KM and an Windusurfer read Arome 1.3 KM ...easy simple solution.
How many day is needed to wait for complete this solution?

Re: AROME aggiornamento dati.
I can't understand why AROME still cover the area of Ravenna and north east italian coast, but in Windy is not available
Thanks -
@Jack7131
This is because the 1.3 km version was replaced by the 2.5 km version, following a request from the aviation people. The 2.5 km version unfortunately has a more restricted area. -
@idefix37 is not more easy ADD AROME 2.5 respect replace AROME 1.3 KM? PLEASE RECOVER AROME 1.3 KM
-

@Tomber42 WINDGURU, FOR EXAMPLE, HAS BOTH MODELS: AROME 1.3 KM AND AROME 2.5 KM.
PLEASE COPY FROM THEY AND PUBLISH ALL TWO MODELS!!!

Hello,
I appreciate there is another post about this, but starting a new thread to get some visibility. Please bring Arome model 1.3 back. 1.3 is by far the most accurate model for my location (Ireland). I’m now using windguru instead of windy, but I much prefer your app!
I understand the devs stated there was a lot of feedback requesting 2.5. What I think isn’t being appreciated by the devs is that there were (probably thousands of) users who were happily using 1.3 with no need to regularly check or comment on the community forum - thus unaware of the update, and we’ve now lost (for me) the best bit of windy functionality.
Please get 1.3 back, and offer a choice of using 1.3 or 2.5. Keep everyone happy! You’ve literally excluded entire countries from being able to access the most reliable model (imo) because of this decision.
Thanks

Please do not post multiple messages on the same topic. You have already posted 3 messages on the same question, no need to create new threads! I hope you understand.
