Grey column in Dev mode

Is getting a grey column on the right side while in Dev mode normal, or is it my fault?

Leraned in the hard way, so I share the info that hopefully will help somebody else.

The column was due to the standard setting of desktopUI: 'rhpane' in pluginConfig.ts
Moving it to 'embedded' fixed the issue
