While Radar shows the current situation from its measurements, the "Rain, thunder" layer is a forecast model that shows the total rainfall for 3 hours. Thanks to the excellent model coverage in Central Europe, you can compare several models with each other depending on your exact location. We recommend using hi-res models like ICON-D2, AROME-HD, ALADIN, or UKV for short-term forecasting.
