      Hello,

I'm a quite new user and I'm trying to use windy.com as my daily companion.

There is no option to directly access my favorite forecast model (i.e. using a bookmark) as I read at multiple community threads. I cannot understand why such a basic feature is still missing, as this results in unnecessary user interaction. Hopefully it is on the roadmap now...

As an alternative I tried to use the multimodel view (example), which can be bookmarked. This works fine, however the "Remember 1h/3h setting" is not working here. The view always starts with 3h and I have to switch to 1h every single time. Same with refreshing the page. I would expect that my saved settings are respected here since I'm accessing this page only logged in. I got the same problem with my desktop computer and mobile browser (same bookmarks).

Side note: The setting seems to be respected when I access the multimodel view manually from the map using the "compare" button. This again requires a lot of user interaction.

Is there a any chance to access such common views in a more comfortable way?

      Best Regards

@theraser Hello there, I tested the feature "Remember 1h/3h setting" and it works okay on my end when I am logged in. I have the switch turned on and when I leave Windy with 1h visualization, it is still there after returning to the app.

Thanks for testing this. Did you test it using my example link from above? I just tested it again on my mobile device browser and two desktop browsers - everywhere I got the same problem. I enable "1h forecast", simply reload the page and then I'm again at 3h forecast.

Example screenshots from my mobile device (I can provide a video if needed):
Page is loaded with 3h forecast by default: mpv-shot0092.jpg

          I activate 1h forecast:

          Reload the website:

Windy is back on 3h forecast:

@theraser Hi, do you have that option to keep that setting in your settings on? Because I tested this behavior in the browser on the desktop, as well as mobile and also in the app on the mobile and it works okay on all devices.

              Yes, it is enabled: Bildschirmfoto_20240918_115731.jpeg

This issue only affects me if I reload the bookmark using i.e. F5 shortcut. If I open the forecast compare view from the windy map by hand, it works as expected and the saved settings are applied.

@Suty May I ask how you tested this using the Windy app? I cannot see an option to reload the page or use bookmarks using the app. I usually don't use it and use simple bookmarks instead, but for testing purposes I would try it.

(My next answer will take some days)

@theraser You are right about this, I tested standard refresh of the page. The same URL doesn't save the change. I will discuss this with colleagues.

I'm not sure what happend, but now the multimodel/compare view uses the saved 1h/3h setting and also writes this setting if changed. This bug report can be closed, it is fixed for me :-)

Now we only need saving of the last used forecast model or at least make this setting bookmarkable. That would be awesome!
