The new version is excellent! I especially love the radar+ with the radar and satellite imagery overlay. As an airline pilot windy is my go to as I start planning and packing for my multi day trips out flying across the United States. Being able to take a glance at the wind at all altitudes, even up into the flight levels is huge!

@crummer What exactly doesn't work for you? Can you please provide further details about the issue?

I like the new Radar+ feature, however, when using it there is a bug with the start-up location bar overlayed on top of the Radar+ map.
Normally tapping on the start-up location bar on the top will expand the details for that location below, but in Radar+, the tap on the bar results in selecting a new location on the map.
I’m using app on iPhone.

Windy was reccomended to me from a fellow fisherman. I use it everyday even when not fishing. I am amazed at the weather content detail, the constant updates and moreover the confidence I have in using windy to rely on wherever I am. Well done to the Windy team.

Love the new features--Windy continues to be the premier weather app! But please fix the long-time bug that stops the radar widget from updating on my Samsung devices. All my other widgets (including other weather radar app widgets) update without issue. The problem seems to be a unique to Windy--that means it is fixable. Thanks!

In 30 years as a merchant mariner and a bit longer as yachtie, I must say that (according to me) Windy is the best evolution of the Marine Radiofax Charts. If those images were (are) worth a thousand words, then Windy's "particles animation" deserves the infinity symbol. Glad to see that the Route Planner (which I use a lot) has been enhanced in the app to resemble the web version. Since there is always room for improvement, it would be great if the planner would support also other models and not only the ECMWF. Another great feature in general would be the option to "Compare forecasts" for "Wave&Tide". Many thanks for allowing us to comment. Wonderful job.

I've heard about Windy from my friends that do sailing. They all say that they are using Windy for years now and that it's most trusted app when they are sailing. So I tried it for myself and are amazed with all possibilities that this app offers. So great to plan what to wear every day, plan your free time, travelling, but especially to avoid natural disasters and tragedies.

Impressed with the new features! Well except for the "How to use it" screen that doesn't seem to have a way out other than quitting Windy and restarting?

This is a great advancement. It keeps me abreast of all my local weather changes. It's the best Hurricane tracker! I wish I could use KML files to insert my points of interest!

I would like to use more of your services, 90% of your sight is excellent , but unlike your name suggests you give terrible info. on the mph of the wind. In the middle of hurricane Milton you were reporting winds at 35mph if you are that far off on wind speeds how can we trust the rest of your information?

Not sure why this announcement has started appearing again in a banner.
Especially since the Radar+ does not seem to be reliable - today in the browser I just get the pulsing circle without radar or satellite although separately radar and satellite are available. In the app, Radar+ is working but sometimes the reverse it true. -
You probably turned off the buttons SAT and RAD at bottom of screen. They must be ON.
In the mobile app, click first on the 3 dots.
