Widget not loading data since last update
-
@Robert-Palmer I meant permissions for Android devices (notifications and battery consumption), since their devices have usually troubles with our widgets.
Can you provide more details about your problem, did you try to remove and get the widget back? What version of our app do you have?
-
@Suty I'm using the Detail Widget. The app has all permissions.
I've the problem since the last update of the windy app. There are no other changes.
-
@Jointventure Did you try to reset the widget? Remove and add it back again?
-
@Suty Hi, I also made a post yesterday about this. I've already tried everything even rest lando the app, but they still remain white. For the screenshot, go see the post I made

Same here. Update to 17.7 on a iPhone 12 Pro Max. And the little weather radar widget is blank. Deleting and reinstalling doesn’t helped.
-
Now it’s back again. But - I have set my place of residence in the preferences. In the overview (in the widget) I am located somewhere in the Czech Republic. This is wrong.
-
Some people posting the "empty widget - cannot load radar images" here, depends this on the same problem? (since few days on my Galaxy A52-S Android14, A34 Android14, Galaxy TAB A 2016 Android8.1)
-
No, suddenly after 2 hours, it shows me the correct place / hometown also in the widget. So everything works well.
-
@Suty yes, I tried everything. It's still not working. After add a new widget it worked until the widget updated itself. Then not working anymore. It's empty. Even doesn't show the location.
-
@Jointventure Can you share your version of Android and Windy? Also, screenshot from the setup of Windy app in your Android settings, would be perfect.
-
@Suty Android 13, Windy 43.0.2
-
@Suty After the update yesterday I still have the same issue.
-
@Jointventure And the model of the device? Do you use any apps, that optimize the performance or battery?
-
@Suty Sony Xperia 1 III
No App for battery management. Stamina mode is off. -
@Suty are you still working on it?
-
@Jointventure Yes, and we have another user with similar issue, but we are still not able to replicate it or find the cause.
