        @BlSHOP
        I noticed that the satellite layer wasn't working this morning (9/29/24). I hope it gets repaired soon.

          @BlSHOP @Johnnyvt

          We did not turn off anything. This is caused by Hurricane Helene. See the main topic: https://community.windy.com/topic/36900/satellite-outage-over-the-north-and-south-america-sep-28

            Hello @BlSHOP, can you please provide further explanation why you think that Windy.com purposely turned satellite data off? We are aware that some other apps offered similar satellite data for the whole time of an outage on our end. However, they use completely different source and low quality visualizations, compared to us.

            Please let us know, if you have any relevant info about this intention from our end. But before that, please check official statement from our satellite data provider NOAA.

                @Suty Thank you. This is the first time I have been given an explanation as to why some apps continued to have satellite data when Windy did not. I can now accept that the issue is not with Windy, but with NOAA.

                      @jelofar539 it was actually a VIDEO using the Windy app. But no worries, I took it down since it angered you so much. Have a nice day!
