Satellite outage over the North and South America (Sep 28)

How long before you get the satellite images back? It's been many many days that it hasn't worked. Do we get a credit on our payment? What's taking so long to fix this?

Same, but it is only for a certain area of the world, over Europe, Africa towards the east/west time boarder it seems to be working. Basically only the east Longitudes.

@gptwisted @theaudiman Hi, it is hard to estimate. We are working on it. The data outage does not originate from our application. It is outage of the data source. Picture above shows another data from another source. We are working on some backup solution now.

this is current from environment canada usimg GOES 18 sattelite, has been up all weekend. Goes 18

The other apps that use the same sattelite are working fine!!!!! And Satellite alert messages updated that the GOES16 restore is set 100% complete and here not yet.

So what do you do when your satellite wont respond to a remote reboot command? Do satellite service techs make urgent space calls? 😉

Its "GOES" not "GEOS" satellite... It is an acronym for "Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellite"... If you are a satellite product distributor you should know the names of your products... Not filling me with confidence here...
