Looks like they moved the ALL Satellite to Premium.
I'm dumping Windy and removing the App from my phone; there are plenty of other FREE weather sites. -

No satellite coverage for North and South America yesterday and today

For the past three days all satellite images over North America don’t show up.
I get a please wait triple dot.

I have been a premium subscriber for many years. I've noticed the reliability of windy decreasing this past year. living on a yacht in the islands I need something that I can depend on. It seems Windy is no longer a service that I can depend on. My subscription is coming to an end, and I will let it expire.
Regretfully a long-time subscriber. -
same thing for me..... works for other parts of the world, but not North/South America

I never realized how much I miss the satellite image. Of course, this also affects "Radar+".

I found out the problem is only with Windy. All other sources (competing apps and sites) show American continent images correctly.

The satellite outage over America also affects Premium members, not only the free users.

This is not just a Windy issue, it is actually a legitimate technical issue with GOES 16 not connecting to websites other than STAR NESDIS, as the module that allows connection to other sites appears to be down. Evidence that it is NOT Windy’s fault is also given, from CyclonicWx AND from Tropical Tidbits. STAR appears to be the only website with running GOES data, but then again, it might be GOES 13 that they’re running on while GOES-16 is down.

NWS and NOAA report no outages on GOES16 or 17 as of 19:00 UTC.
