I am currently in Tonga, and checking the weather for a route to New Zealand. This is a route from a longitude of -173 to 173, so from the Western Hemisphere to the Eastern Hemisphere.
The Distance and Planning Tool correctly calculates the number of nautical miles, but the actual route used is the long route, around the world the other way! The route is not even displayed, and the forecast is impossible to use.
A few weeks ago it was possible to create this route without any problems, so a recent upgrade has caused the glitch.
I have checked this on both my Android telephone using the App, and on a laptop PC using Firefox.
Please can you urgently fix this.
      Many thanks

This problem is well known and apparently difficult to solve. See these posts from 2019

I made a try both in mobile app (iPhone) and in the web version. It works fine for me.

But repeating the same test several times, sometime the wind layer disappears when measurement is crossing the antimeridian. And needs to wait until the layer appears again.

@idefix37 thank you for replying. Wow, so it's been a long standing problem.
Interesting though, that I have been watching the weather for this route for a while, but the bug has only shown up since I installed an update.
The route I am creating (not importing), starts in Tonga, has a waypoint near Minerva Reef North a way point called "John's Corner" and NZ.
It repeatedly fails as I cross from West to East Hemisphere.

Here's a copy of my route:

@SY-Ruffian Yes, we are aware of this issue and it is not easy to fix this. I will discuss this with colleagues and try to get further info for you.

@Suty Thank you very much. It would be great if you could make this work again. As I have said above, I have been checking this route for a few weeks now, and it's only since I installed a recent update that the bug made itself apparent to me.

I did another test with the Route planner between Minerva Reef North and New Zealand.
I have no problem with the browser version and Safari and with the mobile app on iPhone.
Too bad the passage through the antemeridian does not work with other OS and browsers.
