      Are there any surface weather maps showing highs and lows and the weather fronts? These models would be very helpful to have. Cold, warm, stationary and occluded fronts and being able to put them in motion is what I would like to see. Thanks.

        Fronts are plotted by meteorologists. Weather models are not able to do that.
        How then could Windy create animated surface pressure charts showing frontal boundaries on the planet over several days with one-hour steps ?

          @idefix37 Thanks for the reply. Aren't weather models created by super computers? If the only way to create a surface map is to have a meteorologist plot the data, maybe AI can do it. I mean we already have models showing pressure gradients, among others, and animate those.

            Yes, maybe in the future AI will be able to plot fronts. We'll see.
