      Is it possible to display the official names for high and low pressure areas? I don't mean the name of the respective wind, such as Passat, Bora, etc., but the annually changing female and male names of the pressure areas. If not, then that would be a wish for a new function ;)

        @michi-blkman

        Do you mean the names of hurricanes/typhoons?
        Then, "menu", "hurricane tracker" ....

          Hello, I guess @michi-blkman means the names of High and Low which are given by the Free University of Berlin. These names are only applied to European surface weather map as far as I know.
          I had this link
          http://www.met.fu-berlin.de/de/wetter/maps/emtbkna.gif
          But it no longer works,

            Good morning!
            Yes, the "Adopt a Vortex" program at the Free University of Berlin was discontinued.
            Maybe @michi-blkman asks for European storm names
            as they are declared by groups of National Meteorological Services.
            By now, there are 8 groups in EUMETNET

            https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2024–25_European_windstorm_season

            e.g. the Eastern Mediterranean Group (Greece, Cyprus and Israel)
            will give these names for 2024/2025 event period.

              That’s right it’s another possibility.
              But in this case the Anticyclones would not be concerned.

              the "Adopt a Vortex" program at the Free University of Berlin was discontinued.

              Thank you I was not knowing that !
