Near real time worldwide precipitation data
-
Hi altogether,
during the last days I have been following the progress of hurricane Milton. It has now reached the atlantic ocean and with it left the zone covered by terrestrial weather radar. I was really missing the precipitation layer and thought how "boring" the map is without.Some time ago I have heard of GSMap-Data of JAXA (Global Satellite Mapping of Precipitation). I wonder if it would be available for you and wether it would suit your requirements. Are you aware of GSMap?
I think it would be cool to include the data. As you know, there is no measured precipitation in most parts of the world. Lots of people in many regions of the world might appreciate having the information. What do you think?Find below some links.

@Gkikas-LGPZ
That's cool! I did not know about this product.
But the question remains, if something like this has a chance to become a layer in Windy.com
Best regards,
Gregor
