<![CDATA[After all these years: still no manual]]>I'm a happy use of windy but probably miss out on a lot of things since there is no simple way to figure out what all the symbols mean. Yes, there is the user community but it takes a lot of time to find an answer. Why can't somebody at Windy bother to write a simple manual with explanations of all the diagrams and symbols? As long as you're the only app that provides so much info you will keep your customers but as soon as I find a more user friendly app I think I will switch because when traveling I want weather info and don't want to loose time figuring it what a symbol exactly means.
Several people have already asked for this. But why does the windy team ignore this. Every software has a manual or built in help function. For such a fine app this is really a grave omission.

E g. Try to find the answer in the user community to "what is the grayed curve in the background on the forecast ribbon"
Very frustrating trying to come up with a description of something graphic, then maybe finding some answer from a user and not knowing if it's even correct?
Come on windy: a simple help function on every screen should not be above you.

I agree with you. As a Windy user, the forum FAQ is the only place where I found a kind of manual made by members of the Windy team. As you say, it's a shame that all articles are not locked, without the possibility of comments that only pollute them (especially since it is possible to lock them).
Then as I explained in my previous post, if you click on a topic you get the last post with very low interest instead of the main article of the topic.
But the best would be to have a manual directly accessible from the menu that would have to be updated frequently of course.

Not a forum post that people can flood with posts, but a master document that Windy staff can add to as things change with time. Searching the forums for a particular answer can be quite confusing and exhausting.
But maybe that's my old school mindset? I like a document I can search things on, not an extensive forum to search through for my answers.
