Suggestion for new version

I really like your app because it has good forecast models. I think its the killer feature of the app to me. First, I’d like to choose the forecast model in the widgets. ECMWF is a really poor model in my region but AROME-HD is almost always spot on. Also, I’d like to be notified about significant weather in a particular location with the ability to choose the model

@denis95 Hi, you probably use iOS device, am I right? We are aware of these requests about local models for widgets and I will discuss it again with colleagues.
Regarding the weather alerts, we are working on huge update of this, so it is possible that this will be implemented there. -
@Suty Yes, I’m using an iOS device

Great app, I have been enjoying it! One thing I'd like to see are fronts and maybe pressure gradients. Possibly these are already available but I have not found them. Thanks!

@strgzzr
Fronts are not shown in Windy because they are plotted by meteorologists, not by weather models.

But the pressure gradient being the difference in pressure over a distance, where and how do you want to see this ?
Something similar to this plugin in the browser version ? -
@idefix37 +1 for pressure gradients, this would be awesome! The chart you display is good, though perhaps have two user entries for the chosen locations with both an associated search function or custom map pin function. I would use this for multiple regions in the US and Canada during the winter.

@mark-ingalls
I see what you mean. It could be a new plugin that allows the user to place the 2 points wherever he want. -
Hello Windy,
I am a french sailor and using Windy Premium since many years.
It’s the best appli for weather forecast. Congrats !I have some suggestions for new updates :
-With the new versions, it is no longer possible to use the video tool. Why ?
-You need to offer drawing tools (idem Pointofix ), distance and azimuth measurements
-Access to Sargassum maps
-Ortho grid more readable and not hidden on the margins
-Be able to import a "pos-report" file
-Import a track to "replay" a regatta with the history of weather files (a.trz)
-Import a routing (.erz format) with the chronological evolution of the weather
-I can't add "layers" as shortcuts (beyond the 4 in place) on the main screenAll the best

@idefix37 Ideally the devs would be able to work toward something able to work natively in the app too.
