Display additional information on weather picker

Hi, I've made a plugin to show soaring parameters as per RASP.
I've been working with a simple "rhpane" interface but now that I am able to show some meaningful data I want to improve this. What I want to do is add selected parameters to the "weather picker" in much the same way as the "Density Altitude" plugin. I have not found any example code or documentation giving me any clues how to do this. Can anyone help me with a few hints please? -
