UK Met Office Data is available free through their DataPoint API (https://www.metoffice.gov.uk/datapoint/product/rainfall-radar-map-layer). API documentation: https://www.metoffice.gov.uk/binaries/content/assets/mohippo/pdf/3/0/datapoint_api_reference.pdf

            Hi !
In Europe we have Opera Project under the umbrella of Eumetnet that work on an European Mosaic.
You can find the animation here: http://eumetnet.eu/activities/observations-programme/current-activities/opera-radar-animation/

            Regards.
            Gabriele

P.S. Sorry I did not read the introduction... you of course already know of Opera... ;)

                  Hello,

You can gather radar data for the CONUS from amazon web services.
                  Look at the link below:
                  https://aws.amazon.com/public-datasets/nexrad/

                  Cheers!

I saw that you need radar data from Portugal, the local Met Institute provides that data, but it's probably really hard to get as they provide it in the form of an image, here: http://www.ipma.pt/en/otempo/obs.radar/

EDIT: Looks like they provide that data in a map form too: https://www.ipma.pt/en/otempo/obs.remote/index.jsp

Dear @TomSlavkovsky , here I give you the link to BMKG (Indonesia) radar data archive (also real time data included). They are in NetCDF *.gz format. Please use this link to see how the data is like, site is open (no login or payment needed).

Per Indonesian law (See Peraturan Kepala BMKG No. 20 Tahun 2014 at Pasal 4, in Bahasa Indonesia), Windy.com needs to contact and cooperate with BMKG to make use of these netCDF data in your website. According to my knowledge, South African weather models can be accessed from the SAWS(South African Weather Services) website. They have synoptic charts, radar and other useful data!!!

In Australia we have free access as to the government run (Bureau Of Meteorology) Unsure if they would allow this to be utilised for another weather site but worth a try.

Guys fantastic site, as a amature weather enthusiast I use it and recommend it the most. The Australian BOM will help they are flexible and progressive. There will be BOM staff with the best contact details watching this thread...
