Yes, but Radar and Satellite data is provided by weather centers as digital data, not as final picture. Same in your digital camera, you get first digital data from the sensor which is computed then as a picture that you see on the screen.<br />
These weather centers provide pictures as you show by your link, with various resolution, various projection systems (Windy is close to the Mercator projection, the weather charts you show are close to the Lambert projection). I think the final result would be very poor.</p>

<p dir="auto">Radar images are also not generated but captured, as an image I believe, and I am thinking of the possibility making it transparent and allow to be added as a layer on top of whatever displayed.</p>

<p dir="auto">Fronts are drawn by meteorologists because weather models are not (yet) able to plot them.<br />
Windy does not employ meteorologists to analyse front boundaries and forecast their evolution on a worldwide scale.</p>
