Track Vendée Globe 2024 on Windy.com
-
The Vendée Globe 2024 plugin, developed by Kevin Saliou, enables tracking the positions of boats competing in the Vendée Globe race and is now available on Windy's platform.
This plugin overlays the race data onto Windy's weather maps, allowing users to monitor the yachts' progress alongside real-time weather conditions.
Note that the plugin is only available for the desktop version.

@Olivier-Mesle
Hi,
Plugins are only available in the browser version, not in the mobile app. Where did you try to find the plugins ? -
Windy app on my ipad, i go to the menu but no plugin?
-
@Olivier-Mesle
As said, plugins are not available in the mobile app, both on phones or on tablets.
On IPad I use the browser version (www.Windy.com in the browser bar) and there the plugins are available. -

What to the the logos next to competitors name stand for? One looks like a foil?
-
@drumbeat
Yes, one icon is showing boats fitted with foils.
But I don’t know what means the second icon. -
-
Any update yet on what the second icon (not the foil icon) means yet? I am most curious!
-
I guess these are the boats that support the UNESCO meteorological program with drifting buoys, weather stations…
You can check the list of these boats and compare with the boats with this kind of duck. -
