Hello! I noticed that after the Radar from Panama Canal updated its system, in windy is showing always 3 hours behind. Maybe it is a time zone problem? Could someone check? You can see the difference from Windy and from the official panama canal radar website (https://pancanal.com/radar-meteorologico/). Cheers!

Hi @Denise-Dalbosco-Dell-Aglio, from what I see, the image is in fact quite delayed on the canal radar website. As of now (4:30 UTC), current local time is 23:30 EST, while 9:20 PM (about 2 hours delayed). Am I correct?

@Filip_K Hi, just checked and the images on https://radar-meteorologico.delcanal.com/movie2.gif are correct and are posted in 5 minute increments.

The time on the lower right corner is local time (GMT-5)

I am attaching two screenshots, both from 7:05 local time (Windy and Pancanal Radar) which I just screenshotted at 7:28am and 7:29am local time

          Windy:

          PanCanal:

          IMG_4327.jpeg

Also, I am looking outside my window and can confirm that the Pancanal report is accurate, the storm that windy shows to the east is not there, we have clear blue skies.

Something broke once Pancanal updated their base map and is now a satelite view instead of a normal “street map”.

          Any help would be appreciated!

          Cheers

            Hi @alfonsecaz,
I see, we're currently using different image as our source (https://radar-meteorologico.delcanal.com/img24.gif) which currently shows no data. I'll see what we can do about using the image from the link You provided.

            Thank You.

                  Hi @Filip_K,

Just as a heads up, it seems Pancanal reverted to their original feed on:

                  https://radar-meteorologico.delcanal.com/movie.gif

                  and

                  https://radar-meteorologico.delcanal.com/img24.gif

Pancanal also created a new feed (which is updated every 30min instead of every 5 min but with a biger 240km radius) which is available on

                  https://radar-meteorologico.delcanal.com/movie240.gif

The feed I provided in my earlier post has not been updated since 2024!

                  Alfredo

Hi @alfonsecaz, thank You for letting me know. I've reverted our ingress back to previous format. If they switch back again in the future, I will make our ingress recognize and process both of those formats.

Regarding 240km range: we are now using it as well, it is displayed every 30m:

                    Thank You again!
