I don't think you can directly retrieve the GPS position on Windy browser version.
At sea the usual way to get the GPS position on desktop, laptop or tablet in real-time is to plug the GPS antenna delivering the NMEA data via a small interface or via a “backbone” on the USB port. But Windy cannot be fed by this data.

Would a plugin be a way to allow Windy to use this data in real-time ?
This would be a big step to use Windy at sea via broadband internet connection and the GPS antenna which nowadays a common equipment.
It was the demand from @nandrieu, a member of the Charal team on the previous Vendée Globe.

Windy is said to be used on most of the Vendée Globe boats, but I wonder if they have their real-time position in Windy.
