Snow depth

On a map displaying snow depth, there are purple areas in the European Alps indicating approximately 5 meters of snow, even in locations where either there is no snow at all or barely 20 cm.

What weather model do you use for snow depth in Europe? If you use the ECMWF model which has a medium resolution, you get a very inaccurate map. The best solution is to use ICON-D2 with a higher resolution.
