How to interpret Humidity
-
Hi all, I’m new to the Windy app. It would be great to get help on interpreting the Humidity data. I have pinned Humidity as a favourite but I don’t know how to read the color indicators and percentage. I just want to know how hot (uncomfortable) or breezy (comfortable) the day is going to be. My app is currently showing orange for 0% and purple for 100%. Orange usually means hot to me and purple means windy to me. However hot (orange) for 0% humidity do not seem to make sense. I think it should be orange (100%) and purple (0%). So that’s why I’m getting confused. What do the Windy humidity colors really mean? Thanks in advance!

Hi,
You can customise the color scale of the Humidity layer as you like.

I don't see how your color scale for humidity (relative humidity) can go from orange to purple.
I see deep blue but not purple, or you mean some other scale.
Here is the color scale in Windy. -
@idefix37 thank you very much!

@jzzou yes it’s probably deep blue.. sorry i just assumed it’s purple. But all the same, the default colors are showing cool colors for high humidity and warm colors for low humidity, which confused me. Thanks for your advice. Changing the colors solved my prob. :)
