Nobody likes a whiner, get over yourself Aaahmed and enjoy the greatness of Windy. -
Hey guys,
Thanks for the new Update. Just a small error, when opening my favourites via the 'pin' icon.BR
Marc -
This pin never opened your Favorite locations, these are your favorite layers. To access your Favorites list, you need to tap on your profile picture.
-
Hi,
is the new redesign for the favourites only for the desktop version?
And yes, I have the same problem clicking on the pin needle like Marc (Android version 14).
Best regards

@rogerebejer240 Are you dreaming or what? Many users are complaining about their new policy, can't you see that?
-
Great job seeking out an adding new meteo solutions! I very much appreciate the 15 day window for ECMWF. I applaud your initiative to constantly improve your GUI - clapping for your dedication to continually improving your product. Cheers to your team. I'm looking forward now to diving into 44.
-
Thats cool, i dont know what to say
-
Great new update, thanks for sharing in a clear and concise manner.
-
I like the new features. I use the app for paragliding and it’s totally helpful. Thx a lot guys!!!

The Windy app Keeps Getting Better!
This update is packed with awesome new features!First off, the 15-day forecast for ECMWF and GFS models is a total game-changer. I’ve always trusted the ECMWF for accuracy, and now having a full 15-day outlook is super helpful. The GFS model getting the same long-range upgrade is a great bonus too.
I can't speak for that HI-RES feature but, I'm sure it's perfect for things like flying, boating, or planning outdoor events.
With the added MTG integration, forecasts should feel even more reliable. The favorites interface is now way easier to organize and access my favorite layers, spots, and settings.
Even with all these updates, Windy stays simple and user-friendly. Thats a huge PLUS for me. I'm just someone who likes staying prepared and this app keeps getting better!

Well, I may be a novice user again, but what I've seen of it so far- I LOVE THE NEW VERSION. I may have to dig deeper into my money "kitty" and buy in to the paid version!
Also, I have appreciated the comments, as they enlighten. I wish more experienced users would post. I always see something from the comments that I missed.
Thank you for all the hard work!

Great updates. One thing I would like you to add is a validation section that compares forecasts for a given location (such as favorites) over time to determine which weather model is most accurate for the given location.
-
Hallo from Vienna!
You do a real good job with this app. I used it this year while walking the Pennineway in the Uk and I got the best forecast ever!
So I could plan my trip every day to be shure to have the full comfort for the whole day - even some days in previous! As I walked for 20 days and I mainly stayed in a tent during night, it has been essential to get real good information!
Thank you!

@Polina-Nozdrina the update soubds good, I read this far, but it's not showing where to get the update
-
@OrangeStingray
In the browser version it is done automatically.
In the mobile app, you get it from the Stores, PlayStore or AppleStore.
Check the version you have at bottom of menu. -
Windy does an excellent job, especially for all the models as well as the interface.
44 looks like another positive step. The one thing that I would like seeing added is more detail when you zoom into a HRRR or ECMWF model instead of the smoothing that occurs, similar to the way that radar works.
-
Glad to see the user interface changes! I was frustrated at times trying to get to my layers and favorites. Seems smoother now. Well done!

What do you mean with smoothing?
Do you mean that you would like a non-smoothed color scale i.e. a scale by non-continuous color steps?
Or more detail provided by the models? This is not possible as the resolution of the model does not depend on Windy but on the model itself. ECMWF resolution is 9km and that of HRRR is 3km. Like with a photography, it is the size of the "pixels of the image" provided by the model. -
Thanksss. Hello from Turkey
