Version 44 Has Landed – See What’s New!
-
Glad to see the user interface changes! I was frustrated at times trying to get to my layers and favorites. Seems smoother now. Well done!

@volwrath said in Version 44 Has Landed – See What’s New!:
more detail when you zoom into a HRRR or ECMWF model instead of the smoothing
What do you mean with smoothing?
Do you mean that you would like a non-smoothed color scale i.e. a scale by non-continuous color steps?
Or more detail provided by the models? This is not possible as the resolution of the model does not depend on Windy but on the model itself. ECMWF resolution is 9km and that of HRRR is 3km. Like with a photography, it is the size of the "pixels of the image" provided by the model. -
Thanksss. Hello from Turkey

@Polina-Nozdrina I'm very disappointed that Total Precipitable Water was again not included despite years of several people requesting it.
-
I like the new version and the way Windy is constantly improving. I'm just an amateur weather guy but I think this update make Windy the go to fire any first responder.
Thank you!
-
How do you improve on the best weather site? Simple. You can't! But the enhancements make the experience all the better and clearer.
Who would of thought a weather app could be so interesting and full of detail.
Just brilliant! Keep up the good work!

I want a jacket. 😄

GREAT job everyone! I love seeing these small but helpful improvements over time. Gives me a lot of faith in your product! Thanks again!
-
I have the 44.0.4 version but am not seeing any difference.
-
Nice update!
Speaking of 15-day forecast; it would be nice to have a full-screen forecast view in the app/web. The existing view is a bit tiny.
Thanks

Muito boa essa atualização, sempre melhorando Parabéns a todos os idealizadores

I live in Belgium which is known for it's harder to predict weather, which results in metereologic expertise built up though years.
Hence the guidance by the Belgian metereolgist David Dehenauw of the succesful balloon trips around the world in 2002 (Steve Fosset) and 2016 (Fedor Konyukhov).
I don't have that expertise myself, neither can I rely on David Dehenauw, but I do have Windy as metereologic swiss knife, most handy as a photographer in the first place. Windy rocks, and so does every layer ! The newest design is more than cool and even gives me even faster access to the information I am after. Love it, and hence I still propagate it in (but not limited to) Belgium! The days that I used another weather app are way behind me! -
Took the premium plunge on Windy. Glad to see it being used for more interesting features. So much to learn.
-
Great new update, especially the satellite imagery!
-

Absolutely love the Windy app and these updates only make it more accurate and more useful. I would not leave home, either walking sailing or driving, without it. Thank you windy.com.
-
Congrats on the new update! WINDY continues to provide me with key information allo2ing me to cut and bale hay in a timely manner. Key moisture and wind co tent allows me to plan ahead and raise dry hay! Thanks!

Great new features - highly relevant and useful.

Salut la compagnie !!!!
la version 44 est incroyablement géniale, même si je suis encore novice dans le domaine de la météo...😅😅😅🌪⛈️🌩🌨🌪 -
I use the WINDY application both on the web and on mobile. We offer spraying and fertilization services for agriculture, and with Windy we can plan our organizations much faster and more effectively. With version 44, the 15-Day Forecast for the ECMWF and GFS Models is an excellent update to make our work even more successful. Since we rule over a wide geography, the favorites section is very important. We would like to have a KPI index in the future.
