Version 44 Has Landed – See What’s New!

@Polina-Nozdrina well guess we are a few who read to here :)

Great to see Windy implementing the major meteorological service updates so promptly and thoughtfully. With more and more free weather data, Windy stays ahead of the pack thanks to the commercial European model and the great user interface.
I would love to see Windy introduce probabilistic forecasts based on the ECMWF Ensembles. Going out to 14 days needs some way of showing the confidence level in the forecasts / spread amongst Ensemble members. I tend to use the ECMWF site itself for 7+ days.

@история You can find new models in the menu of the app or, on the desktop, in the bottom right corner. About which model do you talk exactly?

Thanks for a great app and the continuous updates! I use it multiple times per day on different devices.
I've notices a few problems with the latest update.
On all three of my devices (Windows 11 PC (version 24H2), Google Pixel 7 phone (Android 15) and Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+, Android 14) I have Elevation and Altitude set to Feet in the Settings menu. When I zoom into to see the terrain map that shows mountain peaks, etc all of the elevations are metric. I have tried multiple times to redo the setting on each device and powered them down multiple times. The problem continues so it seems to be a software issue.
On the Samsung tablet when I select Temperature or Wind the numeric values for only a few stations will show up. There are small circles indicating other reporting stations, but no numeric read out for the parameter (wind, temp) is shown. Prior to the update, large numbers of reporting stations were visible with numeric data when I selected either of those parameters (wind or temp). I have tried selecting either of those parameters on multiple occasions after turning the tablet off so the issue seems to be in the update.
Thanks for your great work!

@Suty Понял. Просто я не заметил разницы

Fantastic improvements, as always. I particularly like the addition of the ACCESS-C models.

As a professional mariner I love the info I get from your app
Thank you -
Finding the new update really useful! Thanks!

Nice new release!
One request though. The delay in the MTG images is about 25 minutes (used to be about 10-15 minutes for MSG). In the Radar+ view the images are extrapolated over these 25 minutes, giving a almost perfect illusion of 'real time, no delay' images. Disabling the RAD button button gives me the satellite images only. Handy!
Is it possible to have this extrapolation also in the Satellite view? Now you miss almost half the period in the 1h loop.
Thanks!

Novidades interessantes, ter uma janela de 15 dias é fundamental para a navegação. -
Thank you for your hard work always improving the Windy product. As a skipper and motorcyclist i value very much all your forecast and observation options. Should i tell that whenever i need to plan a route i go to the weather route planner? That is the best thing ever. Wish you a great year! Cristian

Works fine, lasts a long time!

@Polina-Nozdrina Thank you for keeping Windy a premium product with continued innovation. It is definitely my go-to, all-around weather resource. The personalization/favorites features/flexibility is important so that users can quickly access/assess their weather data for the daily check-in. I love the "meteogram" view for planning my outdoor activities... amongst all of the additional features/layers around snowfall.

As usual: Thanks for the upgrade:-)
I'm currently staying at Madeira Island and unfortunately none of the forecasts seems really reliable.
Nonetheless: Keep up the good work...

I was a big fan of Storm until it was bought by the Weather Channel and disappeared. I was looking around for a very accurate replacement. My friend in the Shetland Islands suggested Windy. She lives in a wind prone area that gets hammered by the North Sea. I live in a wind prone area of California. The title alone seemed perfect. It was. And it’s only gotten better. I can pretty much time when to tie things down and when to expect the local utilities to shut our power off. I love the ability to see the Beaufort scale. I am looking at Force 9 and 10 today and my metric friends overseas know what I mean. Keep up the good work. One of the few must have subscriptions.
