Distance & Planning - incorrect elevation and distance
-
When planning a route, the distance given is made wildly inaccurate by a slight movement of waypoint. Behaviour is seen in Safari version 16.5 (18615.2.9.11.4) with and without extensions, and Chrome Version 131.0.6778.86 (Official Build) (arm64).
The white dot on the map indicating where on the elevation graph you are bears no resemblance to the route you have planned.
Route location is Falmouth, UK if you wish to reproduce yourself.

@teakdecks
Further to your post I have 2 remarks.-
The resolution of the weather model used to forecast the weather along your route is 9km. So even if the path does not follow precisely the road on a 6km trip, it will not change the weather forecast. Route planner is not a navigation app on road, but a way to get a weather forecast along a route.

You have to set a speed and to turn on the speed button to make the Route planner working correctly.
